Community Leaders Honored with Paul Harris Fellowships

Gary Nelund bestowed the first Paul Harris Fellowship Award to Scott Speck, Conductor and Music Director of the West Michigan Symphony. Scott is a Fulbright Scholar, a summa cum laude graduate of Yale University, and an Aspen Conducting Fellow. He is an extremely talented and multi-dimensional speaker, conductor and author. West Michigan is grateful for his talent and as his contributions to our community.

Mike and Kay Olthoff, below, “the Dynamic Duo with a deep commitment to Muskegon” were also awarded Paul Harris Fellowship Awards. Kay’s long list of community dedication includes her teaching career, Tempting Tables, Community Foundation for Muskegon County Board, the Child Abuse Council and Board President of Mona Shores Public Schools. Mike is owner and CEO of Nichols Paper, both are West Michigan Symphony Board Members and generous contributors to everything Muskegon.
