Muskegon Rotarians in China
John Noling and Bill Loxterman , below, enjoyed immensely their visit this last week to the Admiralty Rotary Club of Hong Kong, where banners were exchanged and Rotary friendships expanded. They have a story to tell about their adventures in Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hong Kong.
Admiralty is one of over 80 clubs in this region of China and is one of the first to have encouraged and developed the leadership of women going back to 1989.
“We were on a vacation and humanitarian outreach of our own design,” John confessed. “You know like the Bill and John ambassadorial effort for good will and better friendships. Actually, we just wanted to connect. It’s highly recommended visiting other clubs anywhere;Rotary really makes you a friend wherever you go.”
Their club has about 40 members and they all speak English, and Cantonese and English during the meeting; it certainly was welcoming and hospitable. Everyone went out of their way to speak with us.
